Program Graduation Requirements
Students must complete the master requirements with a cumulative GPA of 3.0
All classes must be completed with a B- or better
An emphasis is required for the program:
Students are eligible to enroll in PBHLT 6900 only after they have completed six of the seven other core courses. One core course can be taken concurrently with the capstone.
Students can begin practicum work after 4 of the 6 prerequisites (PBHLT 6100, 6300, 6400, 6550, 6600, 6700) have been completed. One of the four courses must be 6550 and one must be 6100 OR 6300.
All MPH students must complete 6 credit hours (270 hours fieldwork) of practicum prior to graduation. The practicum experience is meant to give students direct, hands-on experience comparable to a career position suitable for someone with an MPH. This will not only supplement the student’s coursework and enrich their academic experience, but also prepare the student for employment after completion of their degree.
Complete approved electives to meet minimum program requirements.
MPH students, including joint degree students, will need to take and pass the comprehensive exam to fulfill their graduation requirements. Per the Graduate School requirements, students must be registered for credit hours the semester they take the exam. In addition, all core courses except PBHLT 6900 are pre-requisites for the exam.
