Political Science

Be knowledgeable about the research literature, theories, and methods within two of the major subfields of political science (American politics, comparative politics, international relations, political theory, and public administration);

Be able to evaluate and synthesize research literature on topics with their selected areas of expertise;

Be able to undertake research on a selected topic that contributes to knowledge in that area;

Have sufficient ability with a foreign language to apply those skills in the research process;

Be prepared to take positions in the public, private, or nonprofit sectors or to undertake graduate study at the PhD level.
