Program Admissions Requirements

  • The requirements and submission processes are the same as the Parks, Recreation, and Tourism, M.S.

  • Potential PhD students must have earned a masters degree. Students with degrees not in Parks, Recreation, and Tourism are encouraged to apply.

  • We currently only consider doctoral applications once a year, in the spring (February 15) for fall enrollment.

  • Graduate assistantships are available.

International applicants are encouraged to allow additional time for the application process. In addition, the international student applicant pool is highly competitive, and most successful applicants have arranged for faculty sponsorship prior to completing their applications with the Department.
