Students will demonstrate the ability to articulate questions about human thought and behavior within the theoretical and methodological framework of their chosen content area within Psychology, and to communicate these questions in written and oral format.

Students will demonstrate mastery of the major theories and contemporary research findings across at least two content areas in Psychology.

Students will write a master's thesis that demonstrates their ability to conduct high quality published research under the supervision of their faculty supervisor. Students are expected to write up their work appropriate for submission to a peer review journal in their discipline.

Students will demonstrate mastery of the core statistical theories and methods in their content core area and be able to implement the techniques using statistical software packages.

Students will develop competence in additional professional skills (e.g., clinical assessment, teaching, statistical consulting) consistent with their specialty area and career goals.
