Program Graduation Requirements

  • All major courses must be completed with a grade of C- or better.

  • MATH 1220 must be completed with a minimum grade of B.

  • Students may add one emphasis to their official record.

  • Credit or no credit (CR/NC) is not an option.

  • 17 credits in Allied courses must be completed. Allied courses can be completed from the following colleges and subjects: College of Engineering: BME, CH EN, COMP, CS, CVEEN, DS, ECE, ME EN, MET E, MSE, and NUCL, College of Social and Behavioral Science: AEROS, ANTH, CRIM, ECON (excluding ECON 3201, ECON 4011, or ECON 4651), ENVST, FCS, GEOG, HSP, MIL S, NV SC, POLS, PSY, SBS, SOC, College of Science: ASTR, ATMOS, BIOL, CHEM, GEO, MATH, PHYS, and David Eccles School of Business: ACCTG, BUS, ENTP, FINAN, IS, MGT, MKTG, OSC

  • Residency Requirement: Maximum of 6 transfer credits may be used towards major core or elective credits. An additional 3 transfer credits can be to fulfill the International Perspectives requirement; courses must be approved as equivalent to the required International Perspectives course.

In addition to the QAMO credits, a minimum of 17 credit hours is required from related areas of study, all of which must be upper division. Courses can be from the following: The David Eccles School of Business (ACCTG, BUS, ENTP, FINAN, IS, MGT, MKTG, OSC), College of Social and Behavioral Science (AEROS, ANTH, CRIM, ECON (excluding ECON 3201, ECON 4011, or ECON 4651), ENVST, FCS, GEOG, HSP, MIL S, NV SC, POLS, PSY, SBS, SOC), College of Science (ASTR, ATMOS, BIOL, CHEM, GEO, MATH, PHYS), or College of Engineering (BME, CH EN, COMP, CS, CVEEN, DS, ECE, ME EN, MET E, MSE, and NUCL).

Courses completed as part of an emphasis can count towards the completion of this requirement, but additional courses may still be needed to reach 17 hours.
