Two-Year Full-Time MSW Online Option: This is a full-time program completed over four semesters. All courses are delivered online. Applications are accepted once a year for the following fall semester.

Advanced Standing MSW: This program is only open to those who have earned a Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) from an accredited institution. Because much of the first year MSW course work is covered in a BSW program, students can complete their MSW in three semesters. This is a full-time program and courses are held during the day. Applications are accepted once a year for the following summer semester.

Three-Year Evening MSW Salt Lake City Campus: This is an evening program that spans seven semesters over three years. Our courses are held in the evenings, though daytime internship hours are required (during the second and third year).

Three-Year MSW Online: This is a part-time program that spans seven semesters over three years. Courses are delivered online. This program runs one cohort at a time, every three years.

Child Welfare (Title IV-E) MSW Program in Salt Lake City: The College of Social Work, through an agreement with Utah’s Department of Human Services Division of Child and Family Services (DCFS/JJS), utilizes federal Title IV-E funding to provide a three-year, 60 credit hour MSW Program for current or prospective DCFS/JJS employees.
