Program Graduation Requirements

  • Students must earn a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better in all program of study courses.

  • Students must receive a grade of a B or better in all core courses and B- or better in all other courses.

  • The student must complete the requirements of the program of study and also pass a culminating experience. The culminating experience is intended to assess the student's capability to integrate topics from multiple classes into a cohesive solution. The students should prepare a 25-35 minute presentation of a real-world problem where they can apply the knowledge gained from their courses. The presentation should describe the problem, why it is important to solve, and the avenues the student would pursue to solve it. A successful presentation should integrate knowledge from at least three classes on the student's program of study. At least one of the topics covered must be related to systems modeling (MBSE or simulation). This presentation should demonstrate the student's mastery of the individual course material, as well as the synergistic integration of this knowledge.

  • Students must complete a program of study form and have it signed by 3 faculty members before earning 15 graduate credit hours.

  • For breadth, students must have courses from at least 4 different professors on their program of study.

  • At most 6 hours of graduate transfer credit from another institution are accepted.
