Program Graduation Requirements
To be considered a Women’s Health Interdisciplinary Graduate Certificate student you must:
Meet with the certificate academic advisor to map out your certificate of completion
Submit declaration of intent to the certificate academic advisor and receive notice of approval from advisor or faculty lead
Students must meet the following minimum requirements in order to receive the certificate:
You must receive a GPA of at least 3.4 in the approved courses for the IGCWH
You must submit documentation of completion of your coursework, with grades, to the certificate administrator
Certificate Type
Embedded certificates are conferred concurrently with a degree.
Stand Alone certificates are conferred to a student who is not seeking a degree.
SW Variable Topics courses accepted are:
SW 6621/6622/6623 - Couples and Family Therapy (3)
SW 6621/6622/6623 - Narrative Therapy (3)
SW Variable Topics courses accepted are:
-SW 6621/6622/6623 - Human Trafficking -SW 6621/6622/6623 - Human Sexuality in SW
The following classes are only for students admitted to the MSW program: SW 6750, SW 6401, SW 6402
Complete at least 3 credits from the following types of courses:
A student’s practicum and/or internship placement that deals with women’s health issues may count for up to 3 credit hours for the Certificate or complete 1 additional course from Domain I, II or III.
Please note that not all courses listed as electives are available every semester. Students may connect with the Certificate director and/or advisor for more information or assistance on determining an appropriate course of study. The following classes are only for students admitted to the MSW program: SW 6350
