Upper division courses (3000 or higher) must be taken at the University of Utah.

Note: Mechanical Engineering students can take ECE 1220, 1230, 1235, 2280, and 2285 as an equivalent course for their ECE 2210 requirement. The separate courses provide a lot more depth and understanding than ECE 2210 alone and are encouraged for this minor.
Note: ECE 1220, 1230, and 1235 can also be taken as an accelerated version ECE 1231 and ECE 1236 in one semester.
Electives
Students complete a total of 16 credit hours which include the above courses and these electives. Depending on student course choices, they will take between 6 to 9 credits of electives.
