Program Description

The Hospitality Minor is designed for students from any major who are interested in working in people-centered, experience-driven industries. Students explore how hospitality organizations operate within the broader tourism and service economy, including hotels and resorts, food and beverage operations, event and venue management, tourism organizations, and guest services.

The minor emphasizes core areas of hospitality management, such as front office operations, food and beverage management, organizational leadership, and resort operations. Students gain durable skills in communication, service management, organizational understanding, and people management that are applicable across hospitality and related service professions. The Hospitality Minor complements a wide range of majors by preparing students to apply hospitality concepts in traditional tourism and hospitality settings, as well as in other industries where customer experience, organizational culture, and service delivery are central.
