Recognize the transformative power of moving images and sound to express ideas, tell stories, communicate information, transcend boundaries, and inspire change.

Possess broad technical and aesthetic competence in a range of film and media arts practices, and technical and aesthetic mastery of at least one discipline.

Understand and appreciate the history, theory, and criticism of film and media arts, and be able to apply this understanding in the production of original creative work.
