Global and Comparative Perspective: Graduates will possess an understanding of the peoples and cultures, and of the foundational ideas and institutions that have helped define world regions.
Interdisciplinary Analytical Skills: Graduates will be able to assess competing approaches to some of the most urgent contemporary issues and historical debates confronting humanity at regional and global scales.
Cultural and Communicational Competence: Graduates will be able to read, write, speak or otherwise operate within linguistic or cultural contexts beyond their own, with sufficient facility to sustain critical inquiry and convey findings in speech and writing.
