Program Description
The Bachelor of Music Education is designed to prepare students for professional licensure for all-levels of certification in music through the Utah State Board of Education. Students take classes in the music core (music theory, musicology, private lessons, ensembles, etc.), methodologies, philosophies, educational theories, and laboratory / K12 field experiences.
Program Admissions Requirements
Students apply to The University of Utah and audition for the School of Music on their chosen instrument. Students must be admitted to the University of Utah before they can be accepted into the major.
