Honors Requirements
Complete 2 semesters at each of the 199x, 299x, and 399x levels.
Speak with your academic advisor about which courses are appropriate for you.
There are no course numbers or credits associated with the degree recital. Completion of this requirement is documented by the CFA academic advisors.
Large Ensembles:
Complete 7 credits over 7 semesters.
Courses can be repeated any number of times.
Vocalists should choose from the choral ensembles and Instrumentalists should choose from the instrumental ensembles.
Prerequisite for ECS 2150 (Introduction to Multicultural Education).
Complete one of the following series of advanced courses. See the 4-year degree plans for each option for sequencing:
CHORAL OPTION: 4290 Diction for Conductors + 4820 Vocal Pedagogy + 4700 Choral Music Methods = 7 credits
INSTRUMENTAL OPTION: 2895 Voice Study for Inst. + 3780 Advanced Brass + 3781 Advanced Strings + 3782 Advanced Woodwinds + 4710 Instrumental Music Methods = 7 credits
GENERAL OPTION: 1895 Voice Study for Inst. + 4486 Global Music Ensemble + 4725 Popular Music Pedagogies + 4720 General Music Curriculum Design = 7 credits
