Program Graduation Requirements
A grade of a B or better is required in all courses.

from LING 6000+ taken with the advice of a faculty mentor. May include a maximum of six credits of LING 6970 Thesis Research for students pursuing the thesis option. The non-thesis option is the default. Students wishing to pursue a thesis must secure permission from a faculty supervisor and the Graduate Committee.
'B' or better in a 2nd semester (1020 level) or equivalent in a language course.
Students with previous language experience may meet the requirement by completing a language test. For information on tests, please see http://languages.utah.edu/student-services/languageverification.php.
Non-native English speakers may use their native language to fulfill this requirement.
