Program Graduation Requirements
Students must pass the Graduate Study Qualifying Examination (GSQE) during the first year of study as a matriculated student.
The M.A. requires demonstration of proficiency in a foreign language, normally French or German; the M.S. does not require a foreign language.
The Master's thesis is supervised by a faculty committee of three members and is to be defended in a public oral examination.
Graduate School rules govern all students; however, each student's course of study is prepared in consultation with an advisor.
Consult the department's graduate handbook for more detailed information about master's degree requirements.
Complete three seminars (7000 level classes), two of which must be course.
OR another approved graduate level course with formal content which include 6000-level courses in Decision Theory, Game Theory, Probability Theory, etc.
Approved content courses with supervisory committee to meet minimum 30 hours.
Approved courses with supervisory committee to meet minimum 24 hours.
